Type of writing exercises
You will find various tasks according to the exam you are going to attend.
We're going to look at the two most popular. You can find a more extensive guide of these exercises on the website of the exam entity.
1. Composing a document:
Generally, you will be asked to compose a text ranging from 100 to 800 words. This may include an email, text message, academic article or essay, short story, opinion, or something different.
If, for example, you are required to write an email, the length may be about 100 to 200 words, but if it is an academic essay, it will be no more than 300 words.
2. Sentence transformation:
This section can vary since each exam entity has different guidelines and structure.
However, the purpose of this exercise is for the candidate to take an idea given in one sentence, and express that idea in a new sentence.
The process is simple: The candidate will be given an idea in one sentence, along with an incomplete sentence. They will then need to complete the sentence so it retains the meaning of the original sentence.
The precise instructions, guideline, and settings for each of these types of questions will be given in the exam.
